Hi everyone.  I'm an occasional rider.  My wife has a new horse that is very friendly.  I hope to ride him soon!  smile

Hi everyone! I am an older rider (46) and finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of learning to ride and owning MY horse! I ride hunt seat but am looking to start doing competitive trail riding. My horse is Jack, an 8 year old gelding, who is the PERFECT horse (of course I know all of us feel that way about our babies!). I ride almost everyday and also do groundwork with Jack. My goal is to be "at liberty" with him and also to ride someday without bridle or saddle. I first started riding three years ago and cannot live without it. I love to share any information on horses and this type of forum is absolutely great for that! Hearing how "everyday" people handle different types of issues really helps me sort out what is best for myself and Jack.

That's such a great goal.. It takes such an awesome bond, and I love hearing that people want to persue that:)
I just got my first horses about 2 months ago.. They haven't been ridden in 3 years and one is quite skittish, but I hope to get to the same place you wish to be at one day/soon:)
Yeah for like goals! Won't that be an awesome day when we're there!? :D

Good luck to all of you! It's lovely to see people with goals of having a better relationship and communication with their equine partners :)
