That is horrible (and dumb!), why didn't they leave the horses with Habitat for Horses? They are really great at what they do and the horses would of been placed in wonderful homes! no

until the laws for animal welfare, until animals are considered more than 'possesions', horrifyingly stupid decisions with regards to the well being on non-human animals will be made by authorities.

Those poor poor animals.

I agree with all three of you. I'm especially appalled that this happened in a place like Texas, where horses are very much part of the history and culture. When will people realize that animals can have rights just as well as people? You don't have to be a hard-core PETA advocate to be proactive about animal rights. This is almost disgusting.
