Our First Baby - our 4 yr old Rio Grande Mare - Prospect's Rio Luna - with my older son - we had some trouble working this girl - and now she is coming along fantastically.

Our 18 month old Filly - Prospect's Danika by Donavan (Elite Hanoverian) she is 16hh - our big girl.

It's been just over a year since we got our rescue baby - She is by RioV (by Rio Grande) and the transformation has been just incredible.  She is now 18 months old, 15.2hh and an absolute gem.

Prospect''s Rayya Now:

When we picked her up:

When we picked her up we were not sure she would survive - she has surpassed all of our expectations and will make an awesome eventer.

Booooootiful 'ponies'!!! Good job with the rescue filly. Where did she come from? She looks fantabulous now!! Good on ya.

I see you are one of the lucky few with an indoor....sigh.  I wanted to ride so bad today, but had a student this morning during what turned out to be the only 'dry window' between monsoons.....

Our ducks are swimming in our back yard right now!!!

yes we are pretty thrilled with our all our girls but the rescue filly really shows such a dramatic change. My husband thought we were crazy to take her on - really did not think that she would survive. Thought I was wasting my money and my heart - but she really has blossomed and is such a sweet willing girl.

nothing really phases her. She doesn't quite have the spark the others have but she is so much easier to work that it is nice to have such a sweetheart in the mix. That may be her breeding though too although she is related to the first mare. She is so willing and just takes everything in stride.
