Between 17 & 17.5",flaps 15 3/4" for close contact, width at front panels is 5.5". Gorgeous German-made saddle in beautiful condition at a great price. Hennig saddles have been designed for horse/rider comfort, harmony, balance, security and excellent contact. The flaps, sweat flaps, panels, seat and padded areas are all soft, supple leather. It is equipped with concealed front blocks and is cut back at the shoulder for complete shoulder freedom. There is a nice low profile back cushion on the flap. The panels are broad and soft with wool flocking. It has long billets, including a point billet and a center billet which may be passed thru a slot on the flap or left out as desired. The saddle is solid black (aside from the obvious light calf undersides). Really no fading, just normal wear. Very well cared for saddle.
