Found these on The Gifted Pony and thought they were definitely a new and different equestrian style!

Pony Feathers equestrian fashion accessory

They're called "Pony Feathers"!  If you scroll down the Gifted Pony page, there are several more at the bottom!

I wonder if they give you more knee action? This could be good for toning/balance.

Definitely!  Plus, you could always add some fishing weights at the top - that would certainly make you work a little harder!

Found something else that is kind of interesting - remember how the velvet helmets had/have a ribbon/bow on the back?  Well, now you can get a baseball cap with the ribbon/bow on it:
