Hi

I'm 40, and after ten years I have started back in the horse world as of 08.  I have two horses, Che a 4 year old dark bay stb, who is about 16.2 1/2 and at about 1200 lbs is the 'big fella'.  He is supposed to race first, the become my eventer... the second part seems more sure than the first! lol  His mother is full sister to the richest pacer ever, the great Gallo Blue Chip... and his father is Rustler Hanover, who is from the mare Rich N Elegant, who is the number one broodmare for stbs of all time... which his other grandmother Camatross as number two... he is one of only two horses with this cross... he looks the part but entered road blocks as for one solid year he coliced everyday... sometimes badly , somtimes mildly... his feet ended up in trouble due to the problems... but my husband is a farrier, so we are working on his feet, and his stomach is an ongoing thing...

We bought Tattoo (Da Plane Boss) to help pay for Che and  because he needed rescuing... and we got backed into the whole deal since stb horsemen are a nasty lot and have hateful mouths... we were helping for free someone who is disabled, and the other fellow went about saying we were ruining Tattoo... so we bought him to prove otherwise... I might add he was dying when we paid 4000 for him!!!  He is a grand little horse, but with two, he needs to race to be able to keep him.  He is currently on layoff due to a tie up problem that he has each winter.

So that is my horses... in the past I was an eventer, coach, trainer or riding/show horses, and then married and eventually just went into the race horses (money is a tough task master!) My husband has been in the race horses since he was 15...

I made a living at taking other peoples horses and reworking them when they were considered hopless, and buying and selling horses that were to be shipped for meat due to 'attitude' problems... I also had a rep for being able to get along and ride the 'crazy' ones... and while I always enjoyed a nice sensible horse... the wilder the horse the cheaper they came for sale, or the more the person would pay me to 'fix' their 'problem'... almost always man made I might add!!! lol

I fell in love with stbs, so when I got back in it was a natural fit to buy a stb and prove that they can do anything any other breed can... while I hate racing, I love stbs themselves.

I live in Ingersoll Ontario Canada, and would someday want to live in Ireland where my families heart is.
