What are your thoughts on this? Do you have any knowledge of this sickness or vaccines?
On a related note: What are your thoughts on vaccinations? Are they good or bad? Do you always vaccinate? What about research for vaccinations; do you think it's a good way to spend time and money? What are some ways we can help move this industry (vaccinations/research) along?

I only know a few things about African Horse Sickness, those being that it is the highly fatal (the highest of any disease in equines I believe), and all equines can contract it through midges biting them (this includes donkeys, mules, zebras etc.). I also know that there is a vaccine for it, but that there isn't a cure for it, slow recovery if there is one at all.
Scary to say the least

African Horse Sickness is why the Show Jumping stars from South Africa had to borrow horses whenever they competed abroad. No country was willing to risk the disease.
