I think I picked the wrong name since this aint my usual nick online but never mind that I can be Equos sanos when it comes to horses
I am a horse massage therapist and horse physiotherapist educated at Equicare Matson academy. I started with horses 11 years ago and been working fulltime with a few shorter breaks due to injuryies and education. I currently don't have any horses but work with them full time. I'm also trying to get funds to become a horse osteopath but that is in the stars since the education costs way to much around here. I have owned around 25 horses in my time most of them young trotters (no pacers in sweden) and trained for others around 45-50. The last years I worked with dressage and showjumpers mostly but also some western horses (paint, quarter and one apalosa) and Icelandic horses. I work with diffrent methods and instruments for my job including LED lighttherapy, massage, acupressure, and some osteopathic and chiropractic techniques.
One of my biggest insperation sources is DR Gerd Heuschmann and his work to ban rollkür. And to give more back to the horses and their owners then just a needle in the leg and a pat on the back go home and rest for a while. So thats alitle about me feel free to ask questions if I missed out something.
P.S. forgot to say Im 25 years old from sweden so pardon my sometimes bad english.
This may be a bit overdue, but welcome to the forum, ES! Your work sounds very interesting! Can you explain a bit more about what an osteopath does and works with involving horses? I imagine something to do with bones and joints, perhaps?
You have a very interesting and unique background! We are very glad to have you here :)
