What a tragedy. Quite a lovely woman, with huge contributions in the film world. I enjoyed the National Velvet tribute :) Thank you for sharing, Barb. Jingles to her family; she has left a large gap that cannot be refilled.

I just read this sad news. I grew up watching her and Mickey Rooney...National Velvet is my ALL time fave movie. I had caucht the horse fever on my first cognizant view of a horse but SHE made me want to ride english and jump hedges : )

She was ALWAYS such a stunning woman.

GODspeed, Dame Taylor, thank you for my joy as I know it : )

What an inspiring person Elizabeth Taylor was (and is) to all ages of equestrians. National Velvet is the first horse movie that I ever recall watching, with my Grandmother who introduced me to Taylor, Rooney and the Pie (which thanks to the Pie, I thought all horses could jump anything!). We than progressed to watching The Black Stallion series (which I just seen is on dvd), so I wore out my National Velvet tape and anything with The Black in it.

Best wishes to her family and friends, Elizabeth will be dearly missed.
