13 year old Standardbred Tattler's Jet hits the century mark for wins!

I'm not sure who here follows racing of any sort, but this is quite exciting! The 13-year-old Standardbred has reached 100 wins, a large majority coming in the last two years. His record includes 381 starts, with his finishes coming out to 100-62-66.

I'm amazed at the fact that he is 13 years old, an ancient beast in the racing world, and still winning. I think this goes to show that harness racing has a lot to it that most of us overlook.

What are your thoughts? :)

He sounds like a very tough, athletic horse.
Dare I say that this type of toughness is what the TB originally had, but got bred out.
Stamdardbreds are impressing me more and more.  Now I just have to meet one.

I think this is fantastic for Tattler's Jet! As well as his owner/s, trainer and jockey.

Standardbreds are really impressive horses in general, they are easy keepers (generally), and last a long long time on the track, often retiring sound or with minor soundness issues. Not to mention that they can be retrained to do just about anything from western events to jumpers and dressage mounts. Much overlooked breed IMO. Lovely horses aww
