I laughed the whole time, but really, who knew being a jockey was such hard work?! Has anybody actually tried out the equicizer or something similar?
I'm very much guilty of putting my saddle up on a sturdy hip-height object and riding an imaginary horse. I don't have access to any ponies right now, so I find spending some time in the saddle sans horse, in front of a mirror or two, gives me a chance to check out my seat/position/etc without worrying about messing up my horse.
What do you think? ;)

I've looked into them but I have never seen one or been on one. Sometimes I wonder if I should save up for one so I could "ride" during weeks with bad weather. Do they make an Equicizer whose "back" moves from side to side as well as up and down?
I think that "Rocky" has Ruth calls him is a pretty life like simulator of how the horse will move depending on how active/passive/etc your seat is. I don't think they make one that will hold a bend, if that is the direction you are thinking. I could be wrong, though. Perhaps you can develop one ;) I think something like that would actually be very beneficial for injured riders who need to stay in tip-top shape, or those of us who don't have horses who would like to stay in the mindframe and keep the muscle memory.
Interesting thought :)
