Hi Sarah :) I'm not sure if you mean something similar to FFA (Future Farmers of America) or the like, but if you have questions regarding starting an animal section in your Ag Society, I would ask a club like them. Liability depends on your state/province, I think. For Saskatchewan perhaps you could talk to SAASE (http://www.saase.ca/) about liability. 4-H groups and Pony Clubs might be able to help you figure that out as well. I'm sure you might be able to work out a deal with them as far as use for your indoor arena as well :)

Hopefully I've been helpful! :) Best of luck!

yea we have to go threw saase for the most part but not for insurance i belive, lol have hit the wall at the moment have to aqurie land etc because the old ag soc gave it back to the town years ago and it is now covered with ball dimonds etc, also have a large group of older women that might take a stand against it, with liabitity issues we do not have an in door but that is in our ten year plan. we have talked to 4 h they are looking in to some stuff, next is our propsal to town the rec board might shut us down, as they have in the past at one time the ring was used for riding in the summer and we were told no the mayor is going to bring that back up lol, but thanks for the ideas.

Ah, it seems you're a few steps ahead then. I'm in the States so I'm not sure how much help I can be there ;) Do let us know if you figure anything out though. I'm curious as to who you would contact for liability issues.
