Greetings from Michigan!!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm "Rockey" from Michigan. What a cool site!

I've loved horses my entire life, but unfortunately I've never owned my own. However, I did try to substitute my ****er spaniel for a horse once - I climbed on his back and pulled on his ears... he didn't like that, poor boy. What can I say, I was three!

Now that I'm 28, I ride both English and Western at two different lesson barns and volunteer at a horse rescue in my spare time.
Since I live in an apartment right now, the animals that own me are two cats and two chinchillas. Oh, and my boyfriend! Haha! smile

Glad to have found this forum... so now I'm off to have a look around!

Oh my! That is a legitimate breed of dog, but the auto-censor thought there was a bad word in there! Haha!

Ha ha, funny about the c o c k e r spaniel thing! You never know what these automatic things will do...

Welcome to Barnmice, Rockey! :) Do you lease a horse or do you just ride at your two separate barns? Sounds like you've gotten really "stuck in" as people around my side of town like to say. Kudos!

Thank you for the warm welcome! :)
I don't lease right now, though I am considering it for the summer when I have more time. I ride my trainers' schoolmasters for the time being - a huge grey quarter horse at one barn and an equally huge palomino quarter horse at the other. Which is just fine for me since (as we all know) times are tough, money is tight, and those big boys can get costly!

Welcome, I am new too! I will be moving to MI soon.

I think that MAY be an Alpaca Barb. Either way, really cute pic.
