why don't you do a Canadian History trivia game....

with prizes...for the person who knows the most about Canadian history -

or a mini-scavenger hunt -amazing race style where people have to answer questions about Canada...to get the next clue..

Canada has an amazing rich history...--From long before Sir John A. MacDonald and the Fathers of Confederation - to the conscription crisis - to the October Crisis - Trudeau Mania...- the beginnings of our Multi-cultural Policies.....Romeo Delaire- (an amazing incredibly brave - and noble Canadian--re. Rowanda)...on and on it goes..

But yeahh....

Everybody should come to the party dressed as somebody who has played a role in Canadian history. I'd come dressed as Laura Secord because I have an obession with the War of 1812, and chocolate.

Of course you can make some great food and snacks with a Canadian twist -- drinks can be Canada Dry ginger ale, Molson Canadian/Crown Royal for adult beverages, sweets could be things like Namaimo bars (popular on the west coast), butter tarts (said to of been invented in Canada), anything with Maple syrup in/on it etc. Also there are a bunch of different kinds of chips that are Canadian and aren't found in the US (lots of chocolate bars also!) such as -- ketchup, salt & vinegar, all dressed, dill pickle. Of course you could just hand everybody a donut and a coffee from Tim Hortons, can't get much more Canadian than that biggrin

LOL, I second the Timmies. You could offer a Timmies to anyone who brings their own original Canadian idea with them.
