So hopefully soon I will be making a big tack box to store all of my horsey stuff in. Just wondering if anyone else has a big tack box? Post pictures? Did you buy or build it yourself? I need ideas and tips
I bought a tack box from a company - I think it was called Clydesdale. They make trunks for musical equipment and for holding tack.
The pluses are that it opens vertically, has shelves, a saddle rack, and two bridle hooks and it has storage in the doors, so I don't have to dig for anything. The negative is that, because it is vertical, it is a bit hard to steer! Also, the doors don't always line up, so it's a bit of a pain to lock them in place. I would probably go for a different manufacturer next time, but I would still have everything done vertically.
