“The start is not just "something", it is "EVERYTHING". Most horses are born perfect (as a horse) he not only learns how to live and get along in life from his environmental influences but every time he is in contact with a human he is learning something. What we "teach" them or "allow" them to do when we are together will determine how they evolve as partners and what kind of relationship we will have with each other. In this clinic we will try our hardest to get this horse set up for life. Since the horse is not with us by choice, it puts a great responsibility on us to make his life free of fear and stress, the only way I know how to do this is by education, and our education should be first, not his. If we understand a horse and how to develop him, there is nothing like a fresh mind, free of baggage, to interact and play with, some great things can happen. The only way to get experience is to have experience, join us in learning how to develop the young horse, it should be very rewarding.”Don Halladay
