my new years day ride - i almost came off

Decided that I needed to ride my now 5 yr old homebred on the first day of the new year and hubby came to take some photos.

Here we are getting ready.

At the mounting block - we added another 10" recently to make it easier to get on our larger horses.
He is 17.2 and I am 5'7"

here he is working nicely and paying attention

And here he is at the start of a 180 degree spin - decided that my husband and the camera were scary.  He hasn't done this in a while - thought for sure I was coming off but I managed to stay on.

What a beautiful boy he is! Glad you survived. Maybe your boy suddenly thought he was should still be  on vacation, being New year's and all.
