Buried at the bottom of an FEI Press Release, it was announced that the 2015 World Cup Finals in both Show Jumping and Dressage had been awarded to Guadalajara, Mexico. It seems that bids to host the finals were made both by Guadalajara and Las Vegas which has hosted the finals 4 times previously.
No mention of why Las Vegas didn't get it, and no indication that they would bid again. It's too bad - it sorta seems like since they had it in 2005, 2007 and 2009, North America has had its share - it's great that Guadalajara got it, but too bad that it's not going to be a little bit closer.
Did anyone get a chance to see it when it was in Las Vegas? Great show and the only opportunity to see some of those top riders compete.
