Ontario Has Talent High Tea and Fashion Show
Permalink Closed

This is a great way to get ahead on the Christmas shopping as well as support a great cause.

Press Release

An idea was brought forward, how about a series of clinics for Ontario youth? The idea took off and now an organization called Ontario Has Talent was created and they are organizing a series of clinics for Ontario junior, young and up and coming riders.  They will have the opportunity to work with different Olympians/ Short Listed A rider or high level judges each month over the next eight months leading up to the Junior/Young rider championships. This will further their skills to prepare for what is hoped to be a very successful 2013 show season.

A strategic plan was put into place that will not only offer Ontario Junior/ Young and Upcoming Riders a platform to develop their skills, but also to bring the Equine High Performance community together to inspire our Ontario Dressage Youth. Taking the lead is Olympian Diane Creech by providing the first clinic in October, followed by Olympian Tom Dvorak in November, O Judge Cara Witham in January and Olympian Belinda Trussel for February. The first two clinics will be hosted by Julie Watchorn’s Stirling Hill farm in Schomberg Ontario making the clinics very central to most Ontario riders.

The non-profit project will also be able to establish significant funds to support Ontario Youth as well as High Performance Athletes throughout the 2013 season. Clinicians will donate 50% of their clinic fee back into the project and 100% of auditing fees, along with sponsorship money from various companies and private citizens that have our Ontario Youth and the Sport of Dressage at heart.

The program and the "Tea" seem like great and really fun ideas!
