Permalink Closed

Hello,

Here's the sum up... I'm 35, been riding since about 2yrs old but with a break of 15 yrs now. My husband and I purchased Julius this summer, a TB/Canadian cross stalion yearling.  LOTS of work but its not work at all (as you all know here).
I will have to get back in shape (outch) !!
Nice to find a community of passionist like me.
Hope to hear, read, learn and share with you all soon!

Jessy

Hi Julius!

Getting in shape huh?
Thats gonna hurt biggrin

But before it's time to ride you can do lot of other fun things with your youngster without getting in shape wink

I love your picture! Anyone know how I can get a picture on here? I'm a little tech-disabled.

Hi Ranna,

He has so much to learn but the basics are coming along, like giving feet, standing nice on crossties, getting the blankets on, trailer rides... now the new thing is trying to excersise him in the arena without him stopping to check himself out in the mirrors! lol

To horse-harted, thanks, I love the pic too! I wish I could tell you how to post the pics but I can't remember! : /

He is getting pretty vain biggrin
Julius had his first Vet visit this week.  So there it is, new trainner, vet and new farrier are all telling me this is NOT a Canadian cross!  They are saying my mutt has warmblood in him.  Anyone can guesstimate?  I'm thinking Iberian warmblood if warmblood is in him with that short back.  I have to get a video on here....

Sure : )

Wish I could help you with his breed(s) but I am fairly breed-ignorant nowadays.

I have never been a breed specific owner, either. What I have in my yard came to me, I did not actively seek them. A good horse is a good horse : )

Hi all,
We are new to both Barnmice and the world of forums/chat rooms. We are an equestrian centre in southern Ireland and are all happy horsey people and love anything horse or pony related. Shopping, shoes, show clothes, tack, shopping. biggrin.gif

There are over 100 horses and ponies in the yard and they vary in size, age, breed and temperament and all of them are fascinating to us. From the tiny welsh section A called Fluff who threatens the children if he feels he has enough done for one day to the incredibly handsome eventer Lorcan - who has a much nicer temperament than Fluff.
