My herd (pictures)

Thought I'd go ahead and fully introduce my herd...
(In the order they came)

This is Wild Wonderful (aka Dragon), a 10 OTTB.  She was my first horse- she was 2 and off the track for a couple months, I had been riding for 6 months.  I took a couple spills here and there, but she was and is a pretty good girl.

Moonie is getting to be a senior citizen now, somewhere around 26.  We adopted him from a rescue in WV about 7 years ago.  He is an OTTB as well.  His life is pretty easy- he's semi-retired except for the beginner lessons he gives.

(grrr, Moonie's picture is coming out HUGE and I'm not sure why, I'll add one of him later)

Cody's Easy Money (Mo) is a 3 yo Belgian/Percheron/Paint.  He came home with me when he was about 6 months old.  I've done all of his training from halter breaking to starting under saddle.  As of this last week he's had about 10 rides now.  He's my "baby"

Sunshine is a 4 yo grade paint, the palomino I always wanted and finally found.  She was the first horse I started under saddle.  Has had most of the last 2 years off due first to a kick to the hock (did chip a piece, but healed in a place that doesn't interfere at all) then my absence during the internship program I just completed.  Hope to polish her up for the ARHA world show next summer.

Twinkle Toes (Twink) took 4 hours to catch her when I bought her, hence the name.  She is also a 4 yo grade paint, half-sister to Sunshine.  She was bought as a resale project almost 3 years ago and is still here, unstarted... hopefully starting her in the next month and then her resale status will be more active.

Oh Hail Yeah (Halle) is a 5 year old registered Paint mare.  She was bought as a resale project and has reached the point where she is broke enought to be advertised.  A fun mare to ride, w/t/c/gallop, English or Western, has been used as a turnback horse in a cutting program, gone out with a hunt club, shown locally, and does great through trail challenge courses.

And of course every cowgirl has to have a cowdog... This is Dunia (means "life" in Hebrew).  She is 1/4 Kelpie, 5/8 Austrailian Cattledog, and 1/8 Border Collie )looks full Kelpie though).  She just turned 6 months old and enjoys going to "work" with me (travels to the different farms I train at and waits in the car, trailer, or a stall).  Already tries to herd tennis balls and her toys...

Thanks guys, I enjoy them. I just rode Sunshine for the first time in about a year yesterday- I had forgotten how much I LOVED that horse. Lunged her for 5 minutes, hopped on and walked off, trotted out nice and steady on the loosest rein possible (mecate) with her head nice and low and relaxed, loped around and sat down and stopped when I started to pick up the reins (we had slide marks). She made my day- and since it was cloudy I thought it appropriate to go around singing "I've got Sunshine on a cloudy day..." for the rest of the day.
Nikki, Mo likes to "share" his water with you- he gets a drink, then comes and outs his head on either your shoulder or your leg and winds up dribbling half of the water back out of his mouth... He also tries to "help" you with any tools you might have out, makes a nice alarm clock (if you are late feeding breakfast he has been known to jump the fence and watch for you in the kitchen window), walk the fence with you, and give kisses if you're having a down day.
