Here's my question. I'm studying Public Relations right now and learning (well, all kinds of things) but namely making yourself a brand. An equestrian example would be Ponyboy, or Pat Parelli. Does anyone on here practice this? Do you use social media as a tool? How has it helped your business? Curiouser and Curiouser.
This makes me think of Robert Dover. He posts Facebook, Twitter, etc. constantly. It seems to help him - he gets more clinic requests and stuff through it!
I can't say that I would want to be a "brand" so to speak, but having quality exposure as a trainer, coach, facility etc. is one key to being successful. Everytime you interact with clients you want that to be a positive experience and the more positive experiences you can generate with clients the better.

You've got it, Nikki. The idea of 'brand' isn't to commercialize yourself, but rather to think in the way that everything you do, and your ideas, reflect on you. So how I present myself, speak to my clients, the content that I teach, etc, is all apart of my 'brand'. Since the equine world is a business and one day I want to break into it successfully, I was curious as to what measure others use to promote their 'brand'.
Social media is critical to the success of my business. My "Naturally Unbridled" brand is a reflection of me, my values, and qualifications as well as the experience of my coaching clients. Social medial allows me to reinforce my brand by providing valuable information and offers that reflect my products, services, and client results. I hope that helps. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this further.
That's Patti, I think I will contact you on it. I love seeing how you are applying directly what I am currently learning in my classes for your business.
