Odin is very handsome and obviously very smart. He will be a great barn dog, and with those legs can easily make it through the snow to the barn. My young Shepherd has learned many barn dog skills too. After carefully watching my newly arrived horse last year, she determined that hay indeed was a source of food, and started eating it like a horse. She is also a wonderful mouser, so takes care of the barn and field in that respect. She likes to exercise my Arab when he is out and standing around too much. She also babysits him since he is on his own sometimes and could use a barn mate, even though he doesn't think he needs one. He returns the favor by occassionally giving her a back or tummy rub, which she just loves getting from him. Plese keep us posted on Odin's progress with your videos.

Your boy is too darned cute, Prospect! Can't say I'd let my dog play with a dead bird but Odin seems to just want to have fun. What a ham!

Having a Great Dane as well, I can tell you, Odin will be fantastic help when it comes time to muck manure. ;)
