 Over the weekend here it was pretty nice weather, hoovered around the freezing mark and minimal wind. It really made me wish I were out for a nice trail ride in the snow! Has anybody had the chance to get out for some peaceful riding in the snow? aww

Well, can't quite say "peaceful", but we had a blast in the drifts bareback : ) Some of the drifts are well over 6 feet : )

Took my rising 4 yr old for his first snow hack the other day - we hacked through our forest, around the cross country field and around one of the plowed fields - he was a very good boy.

We were all dressed up

Love the photos Prospect, glad your boy enjoyed his outting!

Justice, I had a gelding that loved to play in the snow, always running, jumping, rolling in his field and out on the trails loved to stand in/paw snow drifts and then would try to buckle down and roll if you didn't keep him moving forward aww

I love to play in the snow, glad my horses do, too. Makes the winter almost tolerable : )

We hack all winter long in Northern Ontario on privately owned groomed trails... but the best is finding an "off-the-beaten path" trail and leaving fresh prints in virgin snow!
