I was watching the movie Avatar again...and had a thought. What would it be like to ride a six legged horse?  The horse like creatures in the movie had wide almost squarish backs and six legs, two rear, two front and two right back of the front ones. Would it be a smoother ride? How flexible could they be?  And the nostrils were in the chest....hmmm..

I would imagine there would be a lot of issues with over reaching. How would a horse with 6 legs track up properly?

Agreed about the cadence ;) I was actually just watching this movie the other night, and had the same thoughts. I think the 'horses' in Avatar are built kind of backwards in a sense if you're looking for a collected, rounded animal. They've got so much weight on the front end! Interesting thought, nonetheless!
