I just felt like sharing a recent picture of my little man. The weather has been extremely variable (and a -40C windchill the other day), so he's got his blanket on when it's cold and off while it's warm. Didn't even blink when we put it on, or when I was adjusting straps between his legs without his halter on.
Thanks! It *is* nice when they like their jammies. He reacted just like his Momma did when she was two and we put her first blankie on. Sure beats throwing one on them and leaving them in a stall to 'get used to it'. He is a boy though, and I'm sure he'll play his way through clothing... Boys are definitely different. He tries to lift up his little buddy in the field by her blanket.
I don't know.... my boys are pretty good about their jamms altho the wear and tear after they are done playing (which seems to be 'never') can be notable.. I have a mare here that will wear ONLY green or purple, the rest gets decimated and rather quickly by her. Go figure, since horses are supposedly colour-blind.... HA! I am not convinced : )

Very interesting! I've had girls for the past 10 years, no boys, so I'm used to them keeping their jammies intact. Muddy, maybe, but in one piece. Maggie's colour is burgundy, although if it's toasty, she'll wear it. Comfort is rather important to her. Good thing too, most of her winter blankets are navy... They can be a challenge, can't they?!
I had a boy that would only wear navy blue, I bought him a pretty (expensive) red plaid outfit, and by the next morning it was known that he'd rather wear no-name navy than high-priced plaid!

Challenge indeed! My cross to bear is an intelligent and diversified herd with eclectic tastes and preferences. My joy, to keep up. Well, I try : )
Lol, Nikki, the boy in blue : ) I have three that just happen to be all in blue this year, they quickly became the bluebayboyband. Fortunately for me, they like their "dress blues".. I paid enough for them!
