Trailering with Blankets
Permalink Closed

Hello...
If there is anyone who knows more about blanketing, I have a question...
It`s March her now, and a little chilly as well as damp, and I`m trailering my horse out this weekend. He gets a bit nervous and sweats, so I don`t want him to get  a chill. Should I put his cooler on with his stable blanket on top? Or just his rain sheet?
Thank you so much! ;)

Welcome : )

If the rainsheet is breathable, you should be ok with that. Bring your cooler for when he gets off the trailer, just in case. How far are you traveling?

Thank you justice!
This sounds great... I shall do so! I believe it is a fairly breathable blanket.
We're travelling for only half an hour, so just being safe ;)
I don't usually blanket him so he has he big winter coat on, and with rain and him getting sweaty on the trailer, woo! Just had to post this question :)
Thank you again!

No problem, Abig, happy to help : )

If he has a good coat of his own and you aren't going far and it is a warmer day, the sheet might even be too much. See what the temps are the day you plan to travel but bring the cooler and the sheet maybe for the ride home, just in case : )
