Intensive, comprehensive camps for adults interested in all aspects of horsemanship. This 10-day program takes you "beyond the clinic and workshop experience" and will accelerate your horsemanship and also prepare you for Chris Irwin Certification in Groundwork and, depending on the participant's previous riding skills, for Chris Irwin Certification in Riding.
The program includes topics such as horse psychology, the differences between predator and prey, equine body language, various groundwork exercises (in-hand leading, round penning, lungeing, long-lining), and instruction under saddle to help participants become pro-active riders.
These 10-day courses are limited to four participants to maximize the amount of individual attention and instruction that each student receives. Participants must be at least 18 years old, or 16 if accompanied by a parent. Each participant will receive a free auditor ticket. The auditor may not participate directly in the program, but may observe and ask questions.
