Hey guys! I'm relavively new to barnmice and brand new to the fourms. I guess all you really need to know about me is that I don't currently own or lease but I have owned and leased multiple times before, and my horsey passion is still as vibrant as ever. I do work at a barn exercising/training/mucking, etc. at the moment. I'm 17 and I've been riding since I was 7, mostly western with some english thrown in here and there. I'm planning on going to college to get a degree in equine science and moving on to be a full time trainer, so my plan for the next months is to get as much experience training and riding all kinds of horses (mostly problem or green) as possible.

Feel free to find me on barnmice, my name is Willow King and I always love making horsey friends :)

Welcome to the forum, Willow! :) Glad to have you here. Also very glad you plan to pursue your equine obsession with schooling. As useful or useless as it may be, an accredited education can very well be the difference between getting a training gig and not.

:) What's your favourite breed?

Ha ha, so my dad has told me :)

Um... so hard. When people ask me that I usually say arabians, appaloosas, quarter horses, and standardbreds are some of my favorites. How about you? What breed is the horse in your avatar?

We really do have a lot in common, it's getting scary biggrin My favourites are Arabians, Quarters, Thoroughbreds, and Standardbreds in no particular order. My ol' girl was a Russian Arabian. I've owned a pintabian, a regular (not sure if he was classified as anything) Arabian, a POA (devil child of a horse), and an Appaloosa "in my time".

ETA: I'm also a fan of Marwaris and Spanish horses (PREs, Aztecas, etc).. Mangalarga Marchadors, Pasos, etc.

Thanks everyone! And yes, they sure are Jackie! Can't help but love 'em :)

It is getting scary Ashley! We're going to have to get together sometime if you come out to Colorado. I leased a POA when I did 4-H, and I can definitely say that he was also a devil child. He taught me a lot though, so I loved him :)

I've leased an Arab and that POA, and I've owned a QH, a QH/standardbred (best horse EVR), a gypsy, and a arab/appy cross (quite the personality with that combination).

I've never had the pleasure of knowing a Spanish horse, but I think they're very intriguing. Maybe some day. :)
