I just read a story about a horse that had been BOUND and left to die! This after reading the other day about some sub-human(s) who set a barn on fire and killed eight horses!

Really, what kind of people are out there? It seems every day I am reading not only about neglect, but about outright cruelty that goes beyond imagination!

Click here to read the recent story, but - Warning - it has a photo and it's HORRIFIC!!!!!!!!!

It is sad with the over population, the ecnomic status, and or down fall, have you read the one about ireland? the worst thing is that the rescues are so full they cant rescue, it is a basic really bad problem, god only knows how many horses have been plain let go in the states i have heard terrible things about that, i would rather see a horse sent to slaughter than suffer for months and years in peoples hands that abuse them or plain out let them starve as at least of the the worries here is a stance i take on anything, i will not buy or rescue mutts or basically anything unreg because i belive when people are made to pay for there animals they are more likey to be able to afford the extras that come with them, us for instance we have a st benard and chihuahua, at and in our house the big dogs eats two large med scoops a day it works out to a 18 kg bag every two weeks at forty dollars everytwo weeks which is eighty a month with treats organic and packed full of veggies, adds it to a 100 a month, this does not include any vet trips etc, we have a cap on our animals in which is around 500 for one vet trip for each animal if it cost more than that it is likey that the dog has something really serious wrong and can not recover, we figured it out with shots food and thousand put away for emergancies we spend on the safe side on the close in and around 3300 a year, so if more people would do this less animals would be throwin away, we do the same with our horses, as for the barn fire i would like to see the person who did that to suffer some major problems and the key to there cell throwin away, i wish some people would step back and stop baying the cheap horses demand a better product stay away from the backyard breeders till they cease breeding and take a second look at slaughter, it is not as bad as they make it.

Spent an hour and a half writing/rewriting/re-rewriting a comment to this (partly due to significant dyslexia). Ended up either a rant, or a whine. So....yeah, too many people suck and there is NO excuse or justification for it..

Stomach churning. If I put my true feelings into words, I think I'd be violating some forum rules. "Sub-humans" is a severe overstatement regarding what these people are.
