Video: Loose steeplechase horse jumps fence onto crowd!

Has anyone else seen this video of the horse jumping into the crowd at an Australian steeplechase? Good Heavens! Can you imagine being one of the spectators and suddenly a horse comes flying over a fence and onto you??!

I noticed that the announcer said the loose horse was being chased by the police (?) before he jumped over the fence.  I also noticed that the horse could NOT see through the fence, and that it was a HIGH fence. 

I feel so sorry for the people on the other side of that fence. 

I really doubt that the horse would have jumped that high fence if he had seen that his landing was full of people.

Poor horse :( Its the only state in Australia that hasnt banned Steeplechasing. I dont see why they dont just ban it all together.

The horse crushed a young girl holding a baby - fortunately they were both ok - the little girl saved the babies life by throwing her own body over it and was trodden on, herself.
