I don't follow her blog, but I have popped on every now and then. Her style is much different than mine in how she communicates, but I admire what she's done.
She's contributed an authentic voice to the horse world that has stood out from countless other blogs. She's built a site with an excellent following (VERY hard to do) and she seems to have made a positive difference for horses in need.
I hope she gets her asking price and I wish her luck in the future!
I used to follow her blog but haven't in the past year or so. From a computer nerd's point of view, she'll most likely get her asking price for the site, but I'm wondering if there is somebody out there who can live up to Cathy's commontary? I'm interested in seeing where it will go when somebody takes it over.

I hope someone who is outspoken and doesn't care buys the blog, because if they want to keep the blog in any of the same style(bringing abuse to light) then they can not have a soft backbone.
If it doesn't go to a good person, then it is a sad day for horses, while you can't always agree with Cathy, I do agree with what some once said about her, it was along the lines of her stopping horse abuse single handedly, like in order to do what she's done, you are taking a personal risk against some of these guys.

Well it seems that she has sold it and so far the lady is pretty toned down, not enjoying the read as much as use too that just plain bites the big one
I'll have to take a browse over there and check out the new writer! I give them credit because it is big shoes to fill and it takes a bit to find your voice in a blog. We'll see!

Well now two new writers mugly has stepped down or out and they have guest writers from the fugly readers, so maybe fugly horse has tooken a better step but still not the original but way better.
Hey Darkhorsesrunning, I think the ladies of Snarky Rider took over the Fugly blog? I haven't really had time to keep up with the new stuff, but they seem to be getting some pretty good feed back from what I've heard.

I really like the new writers. They're not as outspoken as Cathy, but they are more so than Mugly was. I think Mugly was too soft for the kind of stuff we were used to seeing on Fugly, and I didn't expect her to last long.
I'd say its worth going back to read. I think Snugly and Snarkly are really trying to address both sides of issues such as slaughter and abuse, without ganging up on a certain discipline or type of horse person. They also have quite a few guest posts, which are interesting.
