http://youtu.be/g6SLUNd6oSs It appears to me that in the begining prior to the pirouette, the hindquarter is trailing but after the pirouette is seems to come under more. I believe it is because of the braking in the corner for the trot transition.
Do you see the same thing?

Why in the world is this rider jabbing his spurs way, way back on the horse's upper flank?
I noticed that the horse had a 3-beat canter before the pirouette, then after the priouette the horse went into a 4-beat canter with the diagonal fore leg landing before the hind leg of the diagonal. It took about 15 strides after the pirouette before the horse found his 3-beat canter again.
Of course with the spur jabbing I am surprised that the horse offered a proper canter at all! I would have kicked or bucked him off for the spur jabbing if I was a horse.
