“Horses and Heroes” is a bursary providing funding for special needs riders who due to life challenges, may not otherwise have had the opportunity to but would benefit by being involved with horses.  At this point in time, “Horses and Heroes” programs are run out of “Horses of Course” an integrated riding facility run by Jennifer Day Slemon that provides lessons and programs for riders of all ages and abilities.  "Horses and Heroes” first project was to provide funding for a program in cooperation with ProAction – Cops and Kids and “Horses of Course” in 2006.
