splint boots and bell boot help
Permalink Closed

Hi everyone. Can anyone here help us find splint boots and bell boots(preferably not the plastic kind) for reining? I'd like to get them in brown if possible, but the tricky part seems to be finding them small enough. Our mare has fairly dainty legs and tiny feet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Perhaps contact Apple Saddlery. They might be able to help you and I believe they ship all over. You can Google them or click on their ad on Barnmice to get to their site. :)

Hi Horsemum,

I've always used Professional Choice SMBs (sports medicine boots) and their bell boots as well. They go on easy, stay in place and they aren't plastic! I've tried other types of splint boots and the horses seemed to prefer these. Also their bell boots are made to work with the SMB's so they're still comfortable for the horse. Both their SMBs and bell boots come in a lot of different sizes.

They also make a nice combo boot for western performance called Slide-Tech boots, I found them on the Apple Saddlery website here: Western Performance Boots

Hope that helps!
