Rider/Horse relationship
Permalink Closed

The side to side movement while riding causes the hips to rotate. This stimulates the fluid that flows up and down within the spinal column - from the base of the sacrum to the connection at the brain stem.  The nerves that are connected the length of the spine are stimulated as well, reaching out to all the limbs. This profoundly affects the connection between mind and body. It stimulates new thought processes, creating new neural pathways and connecting them deep into the body and the subconscious level of one's being.

Sitting on the horse there is a body to body connection and also a mind to mind one as well. This is an intangible relationship to the observer but for the rider and her horse it is very real. In a session, the rider is brought deep into her body becoming aware of sensations and the emotions they express. The intimate contact of the root of her body with the horse's body enhances their communication. The body centered sensitivity of the horse to the rider reaches deeply into her being providing her with insights and powerful learning. The heart to heart relationship between the rider and her horse shifts to a new level.
