Hi mares,

I'm so excited to be joining this forum and to hopefully meet some fun, like-minded people.

The Coles Notes version of my background: I grew up in Victoria B.C. as a hunter/jumper and general barn mouse. I was lucky enough to own and work with two wonderful mares, Dottie, an appaloosa, former eventer and complete loose cannon, and Ria, a green Andalusian/TB with a beautiful face who provided many hours of entertainment with her antics. I miss them both very much.

I moved to Toronto almost five years ago, where I work as a writer/journalist, so there are no horses in my life at the moment. I'm very interested in being part of the community though and keeping in touch with all the hot topics.

Thanks very much and nice to meet you both! That's my old girl Ria in that profile pic.

Barbra, I covered community news for a long time, but now I work freelance so I take whatever comes my way.

Hi Urban Farm Girl,

It is gr8 to meet you on Barn Mice and talk to some other horsey people as well. I dont have many friends except for a couple at the barn where I board my horse Molly. I am glad I am able to come on Barn Mice and chat and meet new people. I have lived in Ontario my whole life and I am physically challenged and have had Molly for almost 6 years coming the end of april. Molly is 23 years old is an R.A.Q.H. Molly did barrel racing when she was a 3 and 4 year old and other performance work as well but not sure what. I got Molly when she was 18 years old from my Uncle. My life has always been very challenging but Molly keeps me going and I love a challenge !!!!! I hope one day I could tell you my story.

I hope we can chat again soon. Have a gr8 day tomorrow !!!! Take care !!!!

Hey MollyGurl,

Nice to meet you! I'm so happy you have Molly to take your mind off your daily challenges. Horses are great that way, aren't they? What kind of riding do you do with Molly?

Have a great day, and stay warm out there!
