I haven't visited here in a long, long time, so will re-introduce myself - not sure if I did it way back when anyway . . .
I am a lifelong horse person with interests in may areas and have tried several of them, but as I have gotten a little older I have settled into a more relaxing type of riding. Not competing anymore (may again but not right now) and just doing less stressful, more enjoyable things.
I am a certified Myotherapist and really enjoying all the learning that comes along with this.
Hi Louise, glad to have you back with us. I'm older too, and it is so nice to RELAX on horses' backs (while keeping proper alertness and adhesion to the saddle of course.)
What it actually means is muscle therapy, but it includes everything that affects the muscles, so basically it is a combination of several different types of alternative type therapies because many things affect the muscles and how they work. Massage, alignment, chinese medicine, essential oils, 5 element theory, LEDs, stretching excercises and more.
