Western Dressage in Ontario
Permalink Closed

Hello everyone,

I was hoping to get some more information on western dressage. My mom has recently developed a strong interest in it and I would love for her to be able to get more involved, either though clinics, lessons, events. Does anyone know where we could start looking in Ontario to further learn about this sport?

Also, any advice/tips/information is always greatly appreciated!

just go to a dressage instructor. Everything is the same except for the saddle and a slight change in bits.
I have done dressage in western saddles but that is years ago. Dressage is just good training for any horse. I have used it for western pleasure, roping horses, cutting horses.

As a dressage rider, I whole-heartedly agree with you!
Dressage is, at its core, "training"
We were looking more for the specifics of wester dressage; the difference in bit use and cuing, any rules we should be aware of, and really just to become involved in that community.
