This is an excellent article. I have my horse turned out on his own with other horses in neighbouring paddocks. I feel so guilty about it, but they all have hind shoes and the risk of severe injury is too great to turn them out in a herd. Otherwise, I am doing my best NOT to do all those horrible things to him...
