Weight in outside rein vs weight equally in both
(Preview)
A lot of people discuss having more weight in the outside rein. However, my coach wants equal (light)weight in both reins with the horse balanced and carrying himself in the middle. The other day as I was cantering I miraculously got a collected canter with the perfect light balance between both rein...

Any tips for timing for the one-time changes?
(Preview)
So Caspari is now doing three "ones" very nicely with Belinda. He is coming along quite easily and soon it will be by turn to try. I am very capable up to the "twos" and I have done a few ones on GP horses. There my experience ends. I would love some imagery or timing tips to get myself...

Bobbing your head when you sit trot

Why do you suppose people bob their heads when they do the sitting trot? I wonder how that could be fixed. That is not one of the many things I need to fix, but I notice other people doing it.

I've read in recent months articles written by people who are absolutely opposed to stretching your dressage horse. I've read their arguments and viewed their illustrations. I don't agree with them. How do YOU choose your trainer?

I am reading this that we should NOT be doing the long and low stretching. Is that correct?
