Have you read...
(Preview)
I know there have been a few other threads about horse literature before, but I'm interested in what you all have read as far as communication with horses. For example I'm a big Monty Roberts fan, so one of my favourites is The Man Who Listens to Horses (by Monty Roberts). I've heard that Dancing with Hor...

Snow Storm -- In or Out?
(Preview)
So I see the snow storm approaching here in Southern Ontario -- well the skies here are grey, but I can see it on the Weather Network maps We're supposed to get "hammered" in our area (first good snow of the year), and if I had a horse right now, I'd be pacing up and down the hallway like a good h...

What is your best quality as a rider and what would you like to improve?
(Preview)
My best quality is that I have a lot of compassion for the horse. My worst is that I'm not accurate enough when I'm riding. I get a bit lazy with my corners, my circles are sometimes ovals, etc. I need to really tidy that up before show season!

A different view : ) Snowing again today, talking another foot or so on top of the two we got over the past weekend, on top of the 10 inches we got the week before.. Good thing the horses love it, I am running out of room for all the sweep! Fortunately for most of us the temps, tho low, could be worse. -- Edited...

Opinions? Non-riders riding horses on vacation
(Preview)
Opinions on tours that take non-riders riding while on vacation? Friends of our were on a trip with their two children. Only the mother was a rider. The horses took off and one of them brushed the son off into a tree. Luckily he was just bruised.
