So, I bought a helmet I really liked, but beause it's a more "round" helmet it's giving me headaches. I thus need a helmet that is more "oval" and is good for showing. I would like one that has a velvet covering, but it just has to be a fabric covering that I can use in shows. Can anyon...

What do you do when someone asks to ride your horse?
(Preview)
If someone asks to ride your horse, what do you do? I have been told by a trainer and several people who have had horses for quite sometime to not let other people ride your horse. The reasoning is that if that particular person has less experience/skill than you do then this could cause some bad habits...

If Horses Were Software (A Letter to Tech Support)

Just wanted to share this, a good laugh Dear Tech Support, Recently I purchased and installed Horse 1.0. I soon noticed that this program appears to have numerous glitches. For instance, every time my computer boots up, I have to run Feed 5.3 and Water 7.1. Many times I've been in the middle of writing a...

I'm going to be doing some occasional recreational riding and I'm quite concerned about whether I should do some stretching and exercises before I start. My hamstrings are particularly tight. Any ideas?

Yourself as a Brand?
(Preview)
Here's my question. I'm studying Public Relations right now and learning (well, all kinds of things) but namely making yourself a brand. An equestrian example would be Ponyboy, or Pat Parelli. Does anyone on here practice this? Do you use social media as a tool? How has it helped your business? Curio...

Leading Or Herding Horses Into The Barn?
(Preview)
Just as the title says, do you lead your horse into the barn? Or does your horse get herded into the barn with other horses at feeding time? I've seen both done, and I'm interested in knowing how you guys bring your horse/s in and why you choose to do it one way instead of the other?

What are some tips for riding in a group on a trail ride? I have been on several rides with what I can only term as " bad" riders. Some not able to control their horses, some afraid of everything, some showing off. What is the best way to handle those types of riders? I stay as far away from the...

Myself and a few other riders plan on taking our horses to the beach for the first time, this summer. I just read that a horse has been shot in the shoulder while in the pasture at the University of Tennessee, Martinon last week. The horse had to be euthanized.
